Beginner lessons - the club organise lessons at the dry slope in Sunderland before the Christmas and Easter trips for skiers and snowboarders wanting to brush up their skills before the holidays. All levels are welcome - whether you are a complete beginner who has never skied before, or a seasoned rider wanting to get some more practise in before you hit the slopes on holiday. Full details will be announced in due course, please contact matt@nussc.co.uk for more details.

Ski racing - Newcastle has an enviable reputation as one of the best university ski teams in the country, winning most of the university titles over the last few years. However, it's not only about the elite, we would like as many people as possible to take part. So, whether you ski at international level or have never tried racing and want to improve your skiing, get involved! Training is every week on Thursday evenings at Sunderland dry slope during term time, e-mail rachel@nussc.co.uk if you are interested.

Snowboarding and freestyle - for those of you who prefer snowboarding (either racing or freestyle) and freestyle skiing, we are looking to expand our training this year. As well as trips to the snowdome for rails, kickers and more, we are looking at the possibility of trampolining sessions to practise your tricks and dry slope sessions as well. To find out more, contact our freestyle captain - shedden@nussc.co.uk.
