If ski racing is what you are looking for from Newcastle University, then you have certainly come to the right place, whether you’ve been racing for years, or whether you just fancy giving it a go, there’s a place for you in NUSSC.
We train down at Sunderland Dry Ski Slope every Thursday evening, and with our own qualified coaches, we’ll have you skiing like a demon in no time. There are a number of competitions throughout the year, both on dry slope and snow, which are open to all abilities. The BUDS weekend, held in Edinburgh, for example, sees over 500 students race on a dry ski slope – half of which have never even raced before – it’s all about giving it a go.
Uni racing isn’t just about the dry slopes though, there are plenty of chances to race on snow, from the Competitor’s Trip in January to the epic BUSC Main Event in April, NUSSC racers will be there in force, and in the past few years we have enjoyed every success at these events.
